HONOLULU (AP) — Hawaiian Electric Industries Inc. (HE) on Thursday reported second-quarter earnings of $44.6 million.

HONOLULU (AP) — Hawaiian Electric Industries Inc. (HE) on Thursday reported second-quarter earnings of $44.6 million.

The Honolulu-based company said it had profit of 41 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for costs related to mergers and acquisitions and non-recurring costs, came to 43 cents per share.

The parent of Hawaii’s largest electricity generator posted revenue of $566.2 million in the period.

HEI shares have increased nearly 6 percent since the beginning of the year. The stock has climbed slightly more than 1 percent in the last 12 months.
